อีกทั้งโอกิได้พัฒนา LED Technology ซึ่งเป็นลิขสิทธิ์เฉพาะของโอกิมาใช้ให้เกิดการทำงานที่มากกว่า และยังสามารถสั่งงานสู่เครื่องพิมพ์ได้โดยผ่าน Network (Print Server - Free) และที่สำคัญเป็นการปฏิวัติการพิมพ์ใหม่โดยไม่ใช้ Oil Roller แต่เป็นหมึกพิมพ์รูปแบบใหม่โดยการผสม wax ลงในแผงหมึกที่มีโมเลกุลกลมและเล็กเป็นพิเศษ จึงทำให้พิมพ์งานลงบนวัสดุพิเศษ เช่น แผ่นใส ได้สวยยิ่งขึ้น

ข้อแตกต่างระหว่าง Laser Technology และ LED Technology

Laser Technology ใช้หลักการสะท้อนแสง โดยมีพื้นฐานการทำงานโดยอาศัยส่วนประกอบของชิ้นส่วนจำนวนหลายชิ้น ได้แก่ หัวยิงลำแสง กระจกหมุนสะท้อนลำแสง และเลนส์ ซึ่งทำหน้าที่สะท้อนลำแสง โดยลำแสงสะท้อนจะถูกยิงลงบนวัตถุที่ใช้ในการสร้างภาพ (Image Drum) จากปลายด้านหนึ่งไปจนสุดปลายอีกด้านหนึ่ง และเลื่อนลงมาทีละบรรทัดสลับไปมาเพื่อทำการพิมพ์งานออกมา

LED Technology ในเครื่องพิมพ์ของโอกินั้น ใช้หลักการทำงานยิงลำแสงโดยตรง คือ แสงจากแหล่งกำเนิดแสงในระบบ LED โดยดวงไฟจะทำการยิงลำแสงผ่านเลนส์ตรงไปสู่วัสดุที่ใช้ในการสร้างภาพ (ID Unit) โดยตรง โดยไม่มีชิ้นส่วนใดๆ ในตัวเครื่องเกิดการเคลื่อนไหว ดังนั้นจึงทำให้ความผิดพลาดที่เกิดขึ้นในขณะทำงานมีน้อยมาก เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับการทำงานในระบบเลเซอร์ทั่วๆ ไป

สำหรับรุ่น C5100 เป็นทั้งพรินเตอร์สีและขาวดำที่ได้รับการออกแบบมาให้เหมาะสมต่อการใช้งานแบบส่วนบุคคล อาทิ ผู้ใช้ที่มีการทำงานจากที่บ้าน และจำเป็นต้องพิมพ์เอกสารของลูกค้า ไม่ว่าจะเป็นใบเสนองาน รายงานและเอกสารพรีเซนเทชั่น โดยเครื่องพิมพ์รุ่น C5100 นี้ให้ความเร็วในการพิมพ์สีที่ 12 แผ่นต่อนาทีและพิมพ์ขาวดำที่ 20 แผ่นต่อนาที พร้อมด้วยความละเอียด 600x1200 จุดต่อนิ้ว และหน่วยความจำมาตรฐาน 32MB สามารถขยายได้สูงสุด 288MB

สำหรับรุ่น C5300 เหมาะสมสำหรับการทำงานในกลุ่มเวิร์คกรุ๊ปขนาดเล็ก ที่ประกอบด้วยผู้ใช้งานตั้งแต่ 4 รายขึ้นไป เครื่องพิมพ์รุ่นนี้สามารถรองรับการใช้งานต่อเดือนได้มากถึง 50,000 แผ่น และให้ความเร็วในการพิมพ์สี 12 แผ่นต่อนาที พิมพ์ขาวดำ 20 แผ่นต่อนาที พร้อมด้วยความละเอียด 600x1200 จุดต่อนิ้ว และหน่วยความจำมาตรฐาน 64MB สามารถขยายได้สูงสุด 320MB
